Service Technician

We are currently seeking applications from experienced Service Technicians to join our maintenance and repair team based in Hallam, Victoria. We specialise in MRO and product support for Kidde Automatic Fire and Explosion Suppression Systems for commercial aircraft and armoured vehicles. To be successful in this role you must have proven experience working in a mechanical or electro-mechanical environment as well as the qualities to perform in a heavily regulated aerospace environment.

Skills/Competencies/Experience:

  • Trade qualifications in a mechanical/electro-mechanical disciplines;
  • Machining experience on mills and lathes;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high level of accuracy and the ability to read and understand technical data;
  • The ability to maintain documentation of work in progress and to follow written procedures;
  • Capable of working independently with a continuous improvement approach;
  • Ability to use Information Technology packages such as Microsoft Office and maintenance/production software;
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience working within airworthiness rules and regulatory requirements would be an advantage;
  • Dangerous goods and/or extinguishing agent handling Licence (EAHL) would be an advantage;
  • Ability to obtain Australian Defence Security Clearance.

Component Mechanics

TAE are currently seeking Component Mechanics to join our expanding Wheels, Tyres & Brakes Team situated in Banyo, Qld. You will provide maintenance labour services on aeronautical products as part of a high output team. The successful candidate/s will have a high attention to detail, quality and safety, an ability to follow authorised publications manuals and instructions, and be willing to identify areas for improvements in efficiency and effectiveness.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Mechanical aptitude and hand skills gained through previous mechanical experience and an ability to be meticulous
  • Experience in working with both manual and automated tools and equipment;
  • Possession of an automotive trade certificate and or nationally recognised Aviation maintenance training (Cert III) would be an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high level of accuracy and the ability to read and understand technical data
  • Proven ability to work to outcomes whilst ensuring highest quality
  • Ability to think or respond quickly and effectively
  • The ability to maintain documentation of work in progress and to follow written procedures
  • Ability to use Information Technology packages such as Microsoft Office suite and production software
  • Queensland Driver’s Licence

Logistics Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced, solutions orientated Logistics Manager with the qualities to lead in a dynamic work environment. You will be required to develop and maintain a cost effective, profitable and flexible Materials, Warehouse and Logistics service for all TAE Aerospace sites, and deliver cost effective Procurement, Inventory Management, Bill of Materials & Parts Kitting Services in support of TAE Aerospace Operations.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Minimum 3 years of logistics/materials management experience in a maintenance/engineering Environment
  • Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Management, Logistics or Engineering from an accredited university, college, TAFE or equivalent institution.
  • Demonstrable business strategy and planning ability
  • Demonstrable high level negotiation skills
  • Ability to lead, communicate, organise and administer teams of multi-skilled personnel
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience with aircraft, engine and/or component maintenance in either a trade, engineering or maintenance managerial role would be an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate views convincingly, and to influence others to adopt a course of action
  • Australian citizen with ability to obtain Defence Security Clearance.

Gas Turbine Engine Technicians

We are currently seeking applications from experienced Gas Turbine Engine Technicians to join our engine maintenance team based at Adelaide Airport. You must have proven experience in heavy engine maintenance as well as the qualities to perform in a dynamic work environment.

Skills/Competencies/Experience:

  • Comprehensive engine overhaul knowledge and experience;
  • Demonstrable knowledge of strip, detailed inspection and assembly of the gas turbine engine;
  • Experience in carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance work in accordance with OEM documentation;
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience working within airworthiness rules and regulatory requirements;
  • The ability to maintain documentation of work in progress and composition of maintenance worksheets;
  • Experience in working with both manual and automated tools and equipment;
  • Machining and general engineering knowledge would be an advantage;
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced role, along with a strong work ethic and sense of integrity;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high level of accuracy and the ability to read technical data;
  • Capable of working independently with a continuous improvement approach;
  • TPE331, PT6A, H80 engine knowledge would be an advantage.
