Logistics Coordinator

We are currently seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our Fire Protection and Rescue team located in Hallam, Victoria. This full time role is available for an immediate start. The successful candidate will perform stores and inventory services including receipt and despatch of product as well as purchasing activities.

Skills/Competencies/Experience:

  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in goods receipting and dispatch;
  • A high level of knowledge and experience in parts procurement and process;
  • Knowledge and experience in stock management and parts handling;
  • Ability to manage cost effective freight management solutions;
  • Knowledge and experience in handling dangerous goods;
  • Sound level of computer skills and the ability to learn inventory specific software;
  • Knowledge and experience in stock control and stock take processes;
  • Demonstrable knowledge/experience in providing quality internal & external customer service;
  • Proven ability to work to outcomes whilst ensuring attention to detail and highest quality;
  • Broad knowledge and experience working in controlled/regulated maintenance/engineering working environment;
  • Proven ability to follow procedure and processes;
  • Good knowledge of WHS;
  • Experience with aircraft, engine and/or component maintenance practices is desirable;
  • Forklift Licence;
  • Valid and current Australian Drivers Licence;
  • Qualifications in materials/inventory management or similar by a registered training provider would be an advantage; and
  • Current Dangerous Goods shipper’s certificate by air and road would be an advantage.

Training Coordinator

We are currently looking for a dynamic individual to join TAE Aerospace as our Training Coordinator. This role will be responsible for developing, coordinating and conducting training programs and maintaining training systems and records across TAE Aerospace. The position of TAE Aerospace Training Coordinator is a full time role that can be located in either Adelaide, South Australia or Ipswich, Queensland.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, competencies and experiences:

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a training coordination role, preferably in industries that are subject to significant regulatory training requirements and in a technical environment;
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
  • Experience in maintaining and coordinating training management systems;
  • Proven experience working with technical competency frameworks;
  • Demonstrated ability to research and evaluate training needs; conduct training needs analysis and the ability to deliver instructional presentations;
  • The ability to organise and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and objectives;
  • High level communication skills and experience working effectively within a collaborative  environment;
  • High level skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook with the ability to collate data for reporting purposes;
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and managing workflow; and
  • Knowledge of and experience working in aerospace/aviation environments would be an advantage; and
  • Ability to obtain Australian Defence Clearance.

Turbofan Production Support Officer

We are currently seeking a Production Support Officer to join the Turbofan Engines team at our Amberley facility. This role will be responsible for providing product and material services co-ordination in support of Turbofan Engines maintenance operations including producing reports for job quoting purposes and evaluating unserviceable hardware for repair. This role will also assist in developing and maintaining a competitive, profitable and flexible engine maintenance and repair operation for TAE.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, competencies and experiences:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a maintenance/engineering environment;
  • Knowledge of and experience in maintenance practices involved with gas turbine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO);
  • Cert IV Aviation or Equivalent. Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Aviation), Business Administration or Management would also be an advantage;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of an Engineering Management System would be an advantage;
  • Demonstrable high level negotiation skills;
  • Proven ability to work to pre-determined outcomes;
  • Experience in component design and/or manufacturing/repair development;
  • Knowledge of shop operations and practices;
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a customer environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to make appropriate decisions;
  • Ability to obtain Australian Defence Security clearance.

Design Engineer

We are currently seeking a Design/Reliability Engineer to join the engineering team at our Amberley facility. This role will be responsible for providing technical advice and design solutions to support and improve gas turbine engine maintenance, repair and operation as well as TAE business processes. This role will involve analysing and understanding gas turbine engine in-service performance and reliability data and recommending and implementing improvements accordingly.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, competencies and experience:

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree in a relevant discipline (Mechanical, Materials or Aerospace preferred);
  • Demonstrate initiative and judgment in analysis of in-service engineering data, and creation of appropriate technical solutions;
  • Knowledge and experience within Military or Civil airworthiness certification frameworks is advantageous;
  • Knowledge of data analysis techniques with strong numeric and analytical skills;
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office suite of applications, and competence in the use of computer based engineering applications (e.g. CAD), and programing with languages such as use of Visual Basic, Matlab and Python;
  • Results and solution focused with a pragmatic approach;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to clearly articulate views convincingly and concisely;
  • Strong desire to improve existing engineering and business processes, with a commitment to professional development in yourself and fellow team members;
  • Ability to obtain Australian Defence Security Clearance.

Gas Turbine Engine Technician

We are currently seeking applications from qualified and experienced Gas Turbine Engine Maintenance Technicians to provide maintenance services as a member of our engine maintenance teams.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, competencies and experiences:

  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical);
  • Minimum 3 years qualified mechanical trade experience, preferably within a general aviation, airline or military organisation;
  • General knowledge of and experience in all aviation maintenance practices involved with maintenance, repair and overhaul;
  • Demonstrative experience working with both manual and automated tools and equipment;
  • Understand and apply workings from technical manuals;
  • Proven ability to work to outcomes whilst ensuring highest quality and safety;
  • Demonstrated experience in Information Technology packages such as Microsoft Office suite and ERP systems;
  • Flexible to learn new skills, with the ability to retain and apply new information;
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a flexible environment;
  • Proven commitment to customer service and safety;
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Defence Security Clearance.
