Darren Hutchinson
Darren began his aerospace career as an Apprentice Aircraft Engineer in Ballarat. After completing his apprenticeship in 1988, Darren joined the Missionary Aviation Fellowship (MAF) where he worked as an all trades LAME in a variety of roles in PNG, Arnhem Land and Northern Australia. As he progressed through the business, he was appointed as the Workshop Manager and Chief Engineer, which included responsibility for the airworthiness of its aircraft fleet.
In 2001, Darren returned to Adelaide to join the Rossair business in the general aviation market. He then joined the TAE Aerospace group in 2008, when the business was acquired by TAE Aerospace. Throughout that time, he was an engine technician and quality engineer before moving into operations and general management.
Darren is now the Chief Strategy Officer for TAE Aerospace leading all strategic development and commercial activities for the company. Darren is also the General Manager Commercial MRO for the company, leading all activities across our Australian and the United States operations in support of our commercial customers.
Darren holds a Master of Business Administration from Adelaide University.
